We are in uncharted territory. Fear and anxiety are front and center, and these emotions are well deserved. But, on the other hand, We need to breathe and make smart, sensible decisions on how to approach the next bit of time. We all need to focus on caring for ourselves and our loved ones as best as we can.
In the light of the situation with COVID-19 and much careful consideration, I will remain available. I will come into the office for a few sessions for people who can not do sessions on the phone, Facetime, Zoom, Skype or any other platform you want. I am confident that individual and couples therapy, where we are sitting at least 6 feet from each other, is perfectly acceptable and safe. I’m making a point to sanitize doors, door handles and other surfaces after every session.
Despite my confidence in providing a safe therapeutic environment, I realized that some of you are uncomfortable coming into my office. Because of this, currently, I see about 50% of you in person and the rest via phone, FaceTime, or Skype.
I totally understand that this is new and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
